Good to know – supporting you

Last month, STEM4’s annual Parent Mental Health Day shone a light on building resilience, something we know the families we work with have by the bucket load. We understand how tough it can be to adapt to the challenges that life throws at us, dealing with our own stress and anxiety while trying to help our families through theirs. We’re always here to help at Kisimul, but if you’re in need of further support we’ve rounded up some useful organisations you can reach out to –

National Autistic Society offers in depth advice and guidance on the challenges that people with autism and their families face – www.autism.org.uk

The UK Autism Spectrum Parents Support Group on Facebook is for anyone in the UK supporting a family member with autism, or who has autism themselves.

Autism Alliance is a national partnership of not-for-profit organisations who support autistic people and their families – Autism Alliance UK (autism-alliance.org.uk)

Parenting Mental Health supports and empowers parents through its 24/7 digital peer community – www.parentingmentalhealth.org/
