Tenants Go Treasure Hunting
Two tenants at our Richmond Court house in Shropshire went treasure hunting recently as Carl, a member of staff, brought in his metal detector for them to try.
The two young men enjoyed exploring the garden area and learnt how to use the metal detector in what was a fun-filled afternoon.
But instead of buried treasure such as gold coins or long-lost jewellery, all they found was an old spanner – but they were still delighted with their haul!
Andy Rawlings, Manager at Richmond Court, said, “The two tenants had a great time searching the garden for what they could find. Unfortunately, we did not find the big treasure they were after, but hopefully next time they will strike it lucky.
“We are always looking to expand on our activities and when Carl suggested bringing in his metal detector as another activity they could try, they jumped at it and thoroughly enjoyed it.”
After the success of the sessions, the home want to extend this and are looking at organising a day trip to the seaside or to see if there are any local groups or clubs that they can get involved in.
