Taking the Leap for a Great Cause

One of our Learning Practitioners, Ebony Atkin, is preparing for the ultimate leap of faith as she is swapping the classroom for the blue skies as she embarks on a lifelong goal.

Ebony has decided to undertake a charity skydive to help raise money for Autism Hampshire. She is undertaking the skydive with her partner Ben on 15 August 2026 and they want to raise vital funds to help the charity.

The charity has developed and delivers high quality services that meet the diverse needs of autistic people in Hampshire and the surrounding area.

Ebony said she was excited but a little apprehensive about the jump, but is determined to raise as much money as she can.

“Since starting in my role, I’ve developed a really strong understanding of how to support autistic young people. I’ve seen first-hand just how important social connection, community inclusion, and meaningful experiences are and, because of that, I’m now really motivated to make a difference beyond the classroom and support even more young people and adults in the wider community. That’s why I chose Autism Hampshire as my charity.”

Ebony and Ben will be free-falling thousands of feet in the name of helping people with autism and whether you think they are brave, inspiring, daredevils or just plain old gutsy… they are doing an incredible thing for an amazing cause and everyone at Kisimul will be cheering them on.

You can also support Ebony by donating via her Just Giving page.
