Celebrating Purple Day

Purple Day is an initiative that was formed with the intention to increase worldwide awareness of epilepsy, and to dispel common fears about this neurological condition.

Staff and pupils at Calman Colaiste College in Peterborough recently celebrated Purple Day through the following activities.

Staff members Emily Ho and Becky Willett supported those with the condition by making personalised books with flowers that represented epilepsy. They also created information books for those who witness their peers/staff having a seizure.

The day was not only enjoyable but also helped raise the profile of this disorder and dispelling myths associated with epilepsy.
